"Fun and frolics is without a doubt one of the most impressive whiskies I've tasted this year. It has everything you'd expect from a classical, mature Speyside malt but also a wonderful and exotic layer derived from the Australian Muscat barrique it was partially aged in. Aging a malt whisky in a wine cask is always a gamble. Oftentimes, the cask can overpower the delicate spirit contained within it. That's not the case here where the spirit and wood are perfectly in sync, making for a beautiful and highly sophisticated tasting experience."

“This dram is exactly what I want to be sipping on as Autumn really takes hold. It evokes the season perfectly with delicately savoury notes that reflect an essence of salted caramel, crispy fallen leaves and a surprisingly honeyed and lychee-type tropical finish. The tropical sweetness is due, in large part, to 4 years of maturation in a Sauternes barrique and the savory elements come from the robust distillate. “Kiss me Pedro! is a 17-year-old Speyside matured for 15 years in ex-bourbon and 2 years in a second fill ex-PX hogshead. With slight influence from the second fill PX hogshead, the distillate shines through. The palate brings a white chocolate Andes mint, with slight nuttiness and tropical fruits showing through. This is a delicate sherry finish meant to be savored in the still of the night while reading a book. Enjoy the quiet and the fruits dancing across your tongue as you ready yourself for a peaceful slumber.”

“I like whiskies that are versatile - they can taste great on their own and they can also pair well with food. During a dinner get-together, I picked this bottle specifically, knowing that some people didn't like smoky whiskies. By itself, the malt and char shined through, but when I paired it with chocolate truffles and Scottish butter biscuits, it took the whisky to a different dimension. My friends' eyes lit up and they said it was the first time they enjoyed a peated expression. Whisky is most fun when it's shared with loved ones, so I will definitely bring this bottle to Thanksgiving!”
