About Fond lovers may meet in the gloamin': This effort from the same distillery as 122 (and 112, G9 and G15…yes, they are busy bees over there!) is all about unpeated texture and opulence. The opening salvo is one of tropically fruity goodness that continues through the palate. Additional aging in an HTMC cask offers even more depth and deliciousness to enjoy.

Tasting Panel Note: We found this one hugely juicy and brimming with ripe, fleshy, exotic fruit notes. The overwhelming impression was of a profoundly textural, fruity and syrupy whisky, full of natural sweetness and showing many gorgeous aromas of jasmine flower, passion fruit, mango jam and mashed guava. Water brought out hints of wine gums, tinned pineapple, exotic fruit teas, cannabis resin and fir wood oils. When neat, the palate really detonated with tropical fruits and more of this extraordinary juiciness and textural thickness; its stunning distillate cleverly concentrated by slightly more active wood. Water brought complex flavours of metal polish, coins, mineral oils, waxes and putty. It became reminiscent, in fact, of very old Irish whiskeys. This was matured in a bourbon hogshead for 13 years before being transferred to a first fill heavily toasted medium charred hogshead.
