Cask No. 9.263
Lazy and lovely
$115
Elegance abounds in this younger expression from Distillery 9. Fruity and floral with just enough savory depth to ground all those high-toned aromas. This is a beautiful (and more relaxed) example of one of my consistent go-to malts.

Tasting Panel Notes
A lovely and very elegant nose greeted the panel. Initial notes included butterscotch, lemon peel, heather flowers, chopped almonds and hazelnut liqueur, plus some sweet pineapple and pear aromas. With water it became a notch more savoury, displaying flapjack, fruit scone mix, toasted almonds and gooseberry. A fragrant kiss of rose petals too. The neat palate opened with citrus curds, sweet stout beer, white bread toasted with honey and delicate traces of camphor and green herbs. Water brought out white miso, dried apricot, mineral oils, buttered oatcakes and thyme.
