Cask No. 41.179
A delightful mystery!
$140
Where some distilleries use worm tubs to create a more robust spirit, these inventive fellows are using stainless steel tubes for their shell and tube condenser. Same result through different means and also garnering incredible texture along the way. Classic sherry cask character here with barbecue, spices, dried fruits and nuts to spare.

Tasting Panel Notes
The stunning, sophisticated nose gave us a barista blast of mucha mocha, maple syrup, muscovado and maraschino cherries, delicately balanced by toasted oak, cardamom, clove, camp coffee and old bookcases. The palate was a delicious mix of brown sugar, bourbon biscuits, vanilla and Danish pastries, with some deeper insinuations of treacle, cinnamon, cedar, orange zest and soda bread; almost medicinal some said, certainly medicine for the soul. Adding water brought out aromas of blueberry, raspberry and rhubarb all sprinkled with black tea leaves. The palate displayed amazing integration of stewed plums, Armagnac and tobacco. At 13 years of age, we combined selected casks from this distillery. We then returned the single malt into a variety of different casks to develop further. This is one of those casks.
