Notes

One of our favourite places during summer is the farmer’s market….so let’s go Farmer’s Marketing Society-style! We start with the local baker serving up Cask 1.222 Tarte tatin and Eton mess. Layers of orchard fruit, vanilla and spice combine with just the right spike of citrus zest for structure. Next, we head to the fruit stand where they’ve prepared some jarred delicacies. Cask 39.190 Sweet apple chutney shines with aromas and flavours of apple crumble, demerara, jasmine green tea and herbs de Provence. The expression is more fruit-forward than usual from this distillery but absolutely welcome. Standing on line six feet apart in the sun has made us hungry so we head to the concession stand for some comfort food in Cask 46.89 New York Street Snacks. Hot dogs with sautéed onions, hoisin duck wraps and spicy buffalo wings can all be garnered from this hedonistic dram, a tasty end to our day at the farmer’s market!
