As we gazed across the lake of melted vanilla ice cream, flakes of desiccated coconut began to snow down, passing by pine tress before softly landing on scented lavender bushes. From inside the hut came wonderful aromas of fresh gingerbread, served with blowtorched peaches sprinkled with cinnamon. A dash of mountain water delivered a welcome mix of mashed banana and hazelnut spread on toasted rye bread, plus a glass of sweet cherry liqueur. Lavender was then joined by fragrant honeysuckle with a spicy hint of witchhazel that gave warmth in the cool peppermint air. And as the fire embers glowed we began toasting hazelnuts to accompany our lychee and strawberry tea.
