Cask No. 64.73
A most splendid reception
Speyside, Lossie
Walking in through the pair of grand doors on Harley Street the air was abundant with the smell of beeswax polish, dark wooden furniture, soft leather and the splendid oil paintings on the walls. Vanilla scented candles burnt on the rosewood table covered with a white cloth on which also sat a bowl of gooseberries, blackcurrants and rhubarb. On a musty old cabinet were scattered some crumbs from dry digestive biscuits and brioche bread besides a dry martini, a glass of flat vintage champagne and the left overs of a mascarpone cheesecake with quince jelly.
