Delve into the thrilling world of whisky and beer pairing with A Society Oktoberfest! Stage your own tasting at home with four unique single casks to match with four different styles of beer or simply settle in for a first-class flight of single cask whiskies perfect for the season. Either way, your palate is in for a proper taste adventure! Start off with Cask No. 48.146 The youth of today for a ‘Young & Spritely’ cask to pair with your favourite wheat beer. The tropical, clove and sweet malt of the beer contrasted by the boldness in the dram makes for a lively palate and a perfect opener to the tasting. Pour an estery, fruity and spicy Belgian saison to pair with Cask No. 41.154 Black hole cosmology where the toffee, molasses and espresso notes from this ‘Deep, rich & dried fruits’ whisky will be well-suited for complementary enjoyment. Cask No. 93.197 More pirate than puffer offers maritime elements with just the right measure of confection and funk to pair perfectly with a bracing sour beer – bright citrus and a little funk of its own will make for a pleasing union of suds and single malt. Finally, Cask No. 16.86 Disnae hold back invites us to pop a bourbon barrel-aged stout and let the richness of the beer and smokiness of the malt melt together on the palate. This pairing will prove to be a bold and rewarding one for a memorable flavour finale!
