Cask No. 94.7

Pickle Rick!

Highland, Eastern

A fullsome and rather unusual profile that brings to mind pollens, golden syrups, putty, chalk, overripe fruits, grassy olive oil, light medical tinctures and hot steel wool. There's a touch of fermenting hay and a muddy farmyard as well. Some root vegetables baked in anthracite coals. Water offers mashed cactus, dry each, spray polish, canvas and mineral oils. Old school stuff! Some camphor and marmite smoothies with a sprig of hessian daubed in barbour grease. The palate is full of brake fluid, hints of ester-heavy rums, metal polish, greasy engines, boiler smoke, old copper coins, fennel seeds, grilled asparagus and black pepper. Water unveils notes of fermenting lemons, sour Belgian ales, hot salty ramen broth, cow sheds, earl grey tea and fermented herbs.
