A lean and refreshing nose of fabric, rubbed lemon skins, ointments, dry cereals, grist, cut grass, olive oil, sunflower seeds and delicate hessian. With a little time in the glass there's also pineapple, apricot and grapefruit peel. Water brings out coal smoke, heather ale, furniture wax, red apples, a more direct maltiness and things like brown bread, toasted oatmeal, new shoes, lamp oil and yellow kiwi fruit. The mouth is prickly with raw cactus, fresh ginger, herbal toothpaste, lemon cordial, hessian, rich tea biscuits, raisins sprayed with white wine, toasted hazelnuts, orchard fruits and spiced mead. A little reduction brings white pepper, spiced flapjack, muesli, amber malt, rye bread and bergamot oil.
