Inviting aromas of toasted cereals and sweet biscuits captured our attention before sticky syrup oozed over cinnamon popcorn and quince jelly. Wasabi heat on the palate became thick and viscous as butterscotch and maple syrup joined Turkish delight and liquorice with peanut butter and banana sandwiches. A few drops of water unleashed orange creme brûlée topped with vanilla ice cream and milk chocolate covered coconut. A funky note of fireworks in a barn became nutty and oily with porridge oats and butter which continued onto the palate to be joined by lovely waxy textures. Mango chutney and apricot jam now blended with faint smoke and dry nut skins with a firm oak to finish.
