Cask No. 72.75

The flower of youth

Speyside, Lossie

Dry and earthy to begin with a dusty turmeric quality alongside black pepper, old books, muesli, chopped hazelnuts and jasmine tea. The sweetness comes through in the form of jam doughnuts and vanilla cream. Water gives bailed hay, sun cream, citrons, chocolate limes, perfumed hand lotion, macadamia nut, flying saucers and a mossy forest floor. The arrival in the mouth is surprisingly mineralic at first. Lots of gravel and flints. Then grass, pressed flowers, heather ale, quinine, bitter lemon and all spice. A little dilution brings back the sweetness with butterscotch popcorn, caramel ice cream, digestive biscuit and rosehip tea.
