A cheeky and bright wee youngster that suggested to us immediate notes of lemon verbena, witch hazel, vanilla cream soda, warm French patisseries, custard tarts and wintergreen. The sweet and the medicinal in balance. With water we found things like mint, tarragon, elderflower and squashed dandelions. Lots of flowers, petrichor and grassy olive oil. The neat palate opened with bright and juicy fruit sweetness. Barley sugars, orange oils, tinned fruit salad juices, papaya and lemon curd. Water brought further fun notes of pineapple tarts, bubblegum, coconut, jam doughnut and youthful dessert wines. A sweet, robust and highly delicious wee sipping dram.
