Notes

Welcome to October and all the new flavours that come with autumn! The unique single casks that follow will make a thrilling flight tasted in sequence and may also provide a delicious exploration into the pairing of whisky with the bounty of fall fare ahead. An Autumn Feast kicks off in the Speyside with an exciting distillery that seems to do no wrong. Each cask we have released from distillery #107 is met with utmost excitement and doesn’t last very long! Cask 107.17 Kissing a rainbow is no exception with confection and oak coming together for a brilliant opening dram. We stay in the Speyside with Cask 113.22 Cream of the crop for a malt that opens on more floral and fruit-driven notes but quickly shifts to confection, cereal and herbal flavours. Abundant oak and texture come through as the finish brings back vanilla and tropical fruits. Moving to the Highlands, we encounter two drams with rich and complex profiles - Cask 77.57 Down the old wax mines dotes on bright caramel and toffee before revealing earthy and herbaceous autumnal tones for a seasonal expression not to be missed. Cask 68.28 Monkberry moon delight presents depth beyond its years in the form of spices, leather, sherried and citrus accents on the nuanced delivery. We finish in Islay with Cask 53.297 Stampede of peat and a properly smoky finish to this flight. A vast array of seaside delights and confections will keep your palate happily occupied as the many aromas and flavours are coaxed from the glass. Enjoy this flight with a group of adventurous individuals who appreciate the best single malt in the world and you’ll be sipping like Pip himself!
