Notes
Our Feast of Flavours bundle features three unpeated expressions from the Speyside and Highlands - an all-star lineup of mainland distilleries that have been captivating members for years! We start with Cask 13.85 Smiling from within from our “Sweet, Fruity & Mellow” flavour profile. This delightfully smooth and complex pour touches on notes of tropical and stone fruits, herbs and flowers, and creamy vanilla. A fresh fruit salad sprinkled with herbs and spices would work wonders to complement the fruit flavours but feel free to contrast with more savoury fare, like a hearty gazpacho soup garnished with herbed croutons. Next, Cask 96.32 Sunshiny shimmer of satisfaction boasts richness from an ex-bourbon cask in all the right ways – vanilla, citrus, chocolate and spices come together for a delicious accompaniment to savoury meats. This particular “Spicy & Sweet” cask will shine with sweet and spicy barbecued chicken quarters or pulled pork. Our last cask of this flight could pair effortlessly with several dishes throughout a meal. But it’s summer, so let’s finish off the meal with fresh fruit pie à la mode. Whether it’s pear, apple or a ‘berry-licious’ variety, Cask 1.241 Marvellous marmalade is booming with flavours from our “Deep, Rich & Dried Fruits” profile. Oloroso cask maturation provides sticky sweet fruits and spices in a dense mouthful of whisky. Such a decadent way to finish your whisky meal!
