New York International Spirits Competition 2024 GOLD MEDAL + 95 points!

About Fun and frolics: Our award-winning Speysider brings home yet another gold medal for the Society! Full-bodied distillate is framed by an Australian Muscat barrique, imbuing this expression with exotic aromas and flavours of lychee and stone fruits.

Tasting Panel Note: A warm spring afternoon with the scent of bergamot, jasmine and vanilla in the air. Combine this with sea buckthorn cordial and buttered scones and you should have the picture. We felt we had stepped into Claude Monet’s painting ‘Woman with a Parasol’. Fun and frolics on the palate as we enjoyed a glass of pink champagne and honey-glazed melon balls as well as strawberries and cream. With a drop of water, a light wind carried the floral aromas from a nearby rose garden in full bloom as we savoured white peaches poached in sauternes. Delicious, elegant, delicate – simply sublime. Following 16 years in an ex-bourbon barrel, we transferred this whisky into a first fill Australian muscat barrique.
