About Delicate and elegant: This Speyside icon was aged in a 2nd fill bourbon barrel to offer the malt and vanilla notes we expected.... with floral, citrus and spice character that was pleasantly unexpected. If you’re a fan of this distillery, you’ll be pleasantly surprised as well.

Tasting Panel Note: A wonderfully natural and slightly dusty nose that incorporated custard creams, old school sweet shop confectionary, malted milk, nougat and honeyed porridge. Surprising sweetness for refill wood we thought. After reduction we found orange peel, cocoa nibs, elderflower, shoe polish and dried flowers. The neat palate opened with chopped hazelnuts, lemon curd, eucalyptus balm and lemon barley water with a hint of chamomile. Water brought cinnamon spiced pastries, limeade, yellow plums and the richness of chamois leather and heather flowers.
