Cask No. 60.37

Field of plenty

$110

The backbone of Dewars in all its ex-bourbon glory! A malty frame supports custard, citrus and barrel spices in this perfectly balanced malt. This is another prime example of getting to experience a malt that was rarely seen on its own before a few years ago.

Tasting Panel Notes

Bar some chunks of fudge and a spoonful or two of custard, our noses were filled with clarified butter infused with vanilla. The palate was likewise, and supplemented with an earthy character evoking a sugar-dusted cereal field and a lick of mace. Water introduced starched linen, hot clay and iced finger buns to the nose, while the palate became woodier, with a twist of blood orange, a dash of chocolate bitters and an oak-smoked plum.
