The nose has an interesting development – starting out dusty (straw, basketry, carpentry) but gradually getting sweeter, until it becomes tropical and syrupy, with candy necklaces, intense honey and lemon puff biscuits. The palate impresses immediately with its mouth-coating texture – flavours include juicy, perfumed exotic fruits (mango, melon, passion-fruit), spiced vanilla syrup and a hint of char, reminiscent of good quality bourbon. The reduced nose is perfumed and opulent – revisiting some interesting wood notes of fruit bowls and cigar boxes, plus fig rolls and jelly snake sweets. The palate is now insanely drinkable – mango, pineapple, vanilla, coconut, lime syrup and dried apple.
