Aromas exploded from a shadowy pit like brazil nuts blasted from Mount Vesuvius as figs, dates and spiced fruits collided with cinnamon sticks and chocolate orange. Waxy citrus fruit and muscat wine danced with malt extract to create wonderfully silky textures that shrouded the darker intentions of ginger, nutmeg and pink peppercorns. With water we found linseed oil and liquorice dusted with Chinese 5 spice and distinct notes of leather and cigars. Then toasted peanuts and raisons conspired against ripe mandarin and mango whilst brioche bread sat in prayer with marmalade. Finally heavy wood spices pointed a path to eternity that was decorated with finely grated dark chocolate.
