Tasting Panel Notes

About The classic: Rightfully named ‘The classic’, this beautiful single malt represents the very best of the Speyside region of Scotland, often considered the heart of Scotch
whisky distilling. Its profile of fresh orchard fruits drizzled in honey with a gentle touch of
nutmeg and thyme makes it a great choice for anyone who prefers a lighter style of
whisky without any smoke.

Tasting Panel Notes: We first noted peach fuzz, American cream soda and gorse flower in this extremely attractive example of a Speyside classic. Green and juicy, we also detected wee hints of nutmeg, cut green apple and chlorophyll. With water the nose became waxier and spicier, with notes of pollen, white pepper and herbal toothpaste. The palate was initially rich, with inklings of linens, sunflower oil, sweet coconut biscuits, macaroon and a wee sprig of lemon thyme. The addition of water brought an extra creaminess to the texture, delivering soda bread, natural vanilla and breakfast cereals dusted with icing sugar.
