Notes

About Perfect pleasures: Piney, citrusy, dry and spicy sum up this refreshing and seriously complex gin. We age our gins in cask for 6-9 months – just enough time to add a few more layers of flavorful depth – and always bottle at cask strength. Happy Hour just got happier! I personally stock up on these Society gins for summer cocktailing from savory Gin & Tonics to a beautifully bold Negroni. This is the only gin we’ll release this year, so have at it!

Tasting Panel Note: Oh yes, the typical juniper scent: piny and citrusy, with a hint of spice and sweetness like a steaming hot cup of juniper berry tea. We also found candied oranges, coriander seeds and cumin. On the palate it was dry and spicy, which reminded some of mescal, that rich, earthy flavour mixed with freshly cut peppers but also tropical fruits. Water changed the earthiness into a sweetness found in gardening using grow bags, yet at the same time we smelled a pumpkin potpourri. To taste, it was like a white rhum agricole from Martinique: woody, with notes of vanilla and white pepper, and subtle sweet, grassy and herbal hints – very complex!
