Notes

The nose was surprisingly fresh and vibrant, with notes of green apples, ripe plums, vanilla slices and lemon drizzle cake, as well as pink grapefruit juice and salted caramel. A lemon zing on the palate was followed by freshly cut wood and grass before sweeter flavours of lemon buttercream and a mojito appeared. Following reduction we discovered typical rum characters, with the scent of sweet sugar cane juice, banana split, cream buns (a Scottish favourite) and a creamy apricot yoghurt. To taste, we found the sweetness of a lemon meringue, while in the finish came a tingling sensation of cinnamon and white pepper.
