This was a little bit of an odd bod, with aromas all over the place. Singed twigs, soft mints, peppered grapefruit slices, olive oil, cider brandy and cleaning the fireplace in the morning. Some Panellists found the neat taste challenging while others described it as being like fresh figs, mint leaves, sherbet lemon and candy necklaces. Following reduction everything calmed down and we were taken back to our school days, to classes in the chemistry or physics lab. On the palate came menthol cigarettes, crème de menthe peppermint liqueur, smoked lemon and burnt cinnamon bagel, while in the finish a chilli lime syllabub.
