The nose opens elegantly with white pepper, lime zest, morello cherries, ripe kiwi, papaya and a few pineapple cubes. It develops further towards tea tree oil, ripe pear, soft wax, chalk, limestone, marzipan lychee and freshly baked soda bread. Water unearths cough medicine, lemon wax, butter biscuits, pot pourri,dried sage and black olives. There’s also a deft daffodil note with wet grass and barley sugar. The mouth is supple and delicate. All on rye bread, red fruits, gummi bears, fir cones, vapour rub, coal dust, light camphor and cherry sweeties. A little reduction and it becomes more malty and sweet with almond flakes, brown sugar, cornbread, olive oil, baking soda, gorse, damson and sunflower seeds.
