We were sunbathing by a private mimosa-surrounded pool, box of expensive cigars, cappuccino, croissants and blossom honey – nothing could burst this bubble. On tasting, we were instantly sophisticated and in perfect harmony with the world – juicy tropical fruits, orange blossom, dark chocolate thins and a hand-rolled Cuban – complete nirvana. Water brought balm to any troubled soul – orange oil, bergamot, juniper and pot-pourri – aromatherapy in a glass! After a long, meditative time with the whisky constantly developing, we were left floating in a perfumed, mellow and relaxing place, Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata drifting over Lake Lucerne.
