A ray of sunshine
Speyside, Deveron
We entered an old fashioned Victorian-style sweet shop and mum told us we could pick what we wanted but only one – which one? Rhubarb and custard boiled bonbons, flying saucers, sugar coated fruit pastilles, chocolate covered almonds, toffee and fudge, the choice was too difficult. Let’s give it a try; juicy with a firework of fruity flavours on the tongue, and then then cooling and refreshing finish of a black currant iced tea. Water put an even bigger smile on our face, like a ray of sunshine breaking through the dark clouds; fresh like a summer fruit salad with a creamy lime dressing.
