Cask No. 73.170
Grassland gallivant
$140
This is a sentimental favorite of mine as it manages to possess muscle and nuance simultaneously. Textbook grassy notes combine with chocolate, herbs, mint and oaky tones for a boldly beautiful malt. This distillery, along with #60, is a major component of Dewar’s and for excellent reason.

Tasting Panel Notes
The Panel found themselves in grassland, surrounded by nettles topped with candy floss hats and a river running with lemon iced tea. The nose was clean, evoking blanched almonds and a new painting canvas. To taste, juniper fell from a spice cupboard to join evaporated milk, lemon peel and skolebrød, with the taste of shoe polish in the air. Water gave a cup of white tea a dusting of cedar wood and rose on the nose, while the palate was a mouthful of gummy bears, olive oil, marzipan and cinnamon-dusted chocolate truffles.
