Cask No. 72.81

Gently, friendly

Speyside, Lossie

A beautiful, peaceful alpine scene came to mind nosing this one neat. A sunny day, passing clouds, a luscious meadow filled with yellow flowering dandelions and snowy peaks in the background. We were taking a rest and had some old fashioned sugar fruit jellies and a sip of elderflower cordial out of a pewter hipflask. After adding a little mountain spring water the field of dandelions start blowing in the gentle breeze, milk and honey seemed to flow; a sweet wine as we imagined sipping this ‘heavenly manna’ from the iconic wooden barrel around the neck of a St. Bernard’s.
