A lovely clean and fragrant nose greeted the panel before a spoonful of sweet and zesty jalapeno lemon jelly took centre stage. A lovely spicy ginger heat at first on the palate neat followed by mouth- coating and mouth-watering ripe mango slices and in the finish milk chocolate marshmallow teacakes served with a traditional Turkish coffee. Diluted we remained in Turkey as we entered a bazar with carpets and rugs as well as an unbelievable variety of spices as a traditional Turkish apple tea was simmering in a pot on a stove nearby. The taste was that of caramelised brown sugar cinnamon grilled pineapple on hearty crackers and a spoonful of that jalapeno jelly on the side.
