True to the charismatic reputation of this distillate, this one opened with a rush of nettles, mothballs, lanolin, green herbs, lime juice, peppercorns and damp cellar earth. Bags of character and many playful aromas to chose from. Water enhanced these old school vibes of putty, hessian, charred wood embers and lemon cough syrup. In the mouth we found it to be immediately rather medicinal, lots of subtly smoked olive oil, strong brewed herbal teas, cash char and blowtorched nectarines. With reduction we got calpol, herbs smouldering on a barbecue and wee notes of eucalyptus resin and mentholated tobaccos.
