We imagined waking up on a cold morning having camped on the beach; we crawled out of our warm sleeping bag zipped open our canvas tent and felt the first ray of warm sunshine on our faces. The initial sip neat was like a wakeup call; white pepper, chilli heat, flinty with a slice of salty sourdough bread and fresh grapefruit juice. With a little water we pulled on a sheep wool jumper and made a strong coffee over a camp stove to warm us up whilst to taste now slightly fizzy and salty/sour gherkins served with rye bread in the finish.
