In celebration of Festival Season in the Lowlands 2024
About Fresh, Floral and Beautifully Balanced: The title speaks volumes as an incredibly bold expression of fruits, flowers and honey unfolds on the palate. This 11-year-old US exclusive packs excellent precision and complexity. Get ready for loads of flavour from this surprising festival gem!
Tasting Panel Note: The clean, fresh and floral aromas of jasmine and lavender reminded some of making new beds while others made mascarpone cream frosting for a lemon sponge cake. On the palate we found a bowl of ripe strawberries with vanilla ice cream and heather honey but also some richer, spicy notes of a mocha coffee. After reduction, initially we had a fruit cocktail made using grapefruit, kiwi and apples but with time white chocolate buttons dipped into a Madagascan vanilla yoghurt appeared. To taste, we sipped a beautifully balanced ice wine, its aromatic tropical fruits mingling with peaches, nectarines and lemon. The long finish had notes of beeswax and acacia honeycomb.
Members Note: Rich mouthfeel, complex and surprisingly smooth for an 11 year old whisky…Nice, lingering finish that you would expect from an older whisky.
