Mind that big ginger fae' Moffat!

The heavy char of this cask had generously donated big initial notes of salted caramel, molten butterscotch, pocket-warmed tablet, Moffat toffee, leather satchels, graphite, pencil shavings and coal dust. Underneath we find calvados, toffee apples, pink peppercorns and Moroccan cupboard spices. A bit of water brings out cherry liqueur, maraschino syrup, warm cocoa, spiced rice pudding, condensed milk, red liquorice and cocktail bitters. The palate opens with pencil shavings, hot cross buns, cooking oils, sultanas, potpourri, cinnamon boiled sweets, chilli-infused dark chocolate, old rope and demerara rum. Some black coffee and blackcurrant chews also make an appearance. With water there's abundant mincemeat, spiced fruit chutneys, lemon barley water, bourbon biscuits, bouillon stock, ginger cake and red fruit teas. Previously in an oloroso sherry butt for 12 years before being transferred to a heavily charred new oak puncheon.
