The nose picks up vanilla butter icing and fresh citrus with apple and pineapple on a PVC tablecloth. The palate is deliciously sweet and viscous - honey, fruit syrup and amaretti biscuits in waxed paper, with a dry, spicy finish of sweet aniseed, hot cross buns and clove rock. The reduced nose discovers floral notes and perfumed sweetness (sherbet straws, Turkish delight), apple, lemon barley water in a plastic cup and fresh cut slate. The palate is dominated by honeyed blancmange sweetness but also has Victory V's, spice cupboard dryness and Krupnik (a Lithuanian liqueur made from vodka, honey and spices).
