Cask No. 113.55

An adventure for the palate

Speyside, Spey

The aroma was that of lemon skin and cask char in melted butter, pears and clotted cream as well as clementine and dandelion oak-aged wine. Plenty of spice on the palate neat; a real adventure as you await the next flavour albeit sweet or spicy like biting into an almond and pink peppercorn biscotti. Water tamed the experience producing pineapple upside-down cake, orange and lime tree blossom, shaved oak and coconut cream on the nose. The taste was now that of peppermint and camomile iced tea, white peppery flavours and a creamy cucumber dill Greek Yoghurt salad in the finish.
