About Worth encouraging: We only see an unpeated (or any) 122 every so often and this one presents fragrant herbs, rich confections and plenty of spice on a textured palate. From a distillery that produces over one dozen different distillates, the charm of this one is undeniable!

Tasting Panel Note: As the Panellists soaked brown paper napkins in brandy butter, we were presented with chunks of fudge and a pint of Scotch ale. The aroma of lavender, vanilla pods and treacle then emerged. We'd advise being prepared for your breath to be taken away by a wave of spice, immediately preceded by bananas foster and vanilla ice cream. Introducing water offered the Panel more vanilla on the nose, along with huckleberry taffy, blackcurrants, beeswax and sawdust. Water tamed the spice, with the palate having become more oriented towards pears, quince, cinnamon bark and green apple.
