We’re heading to the beach with our Bonfire Barbecue bundle! This sumptuous trio features Campbeltown, Highland and Islay expressions, all packing a peaty punch! We love the smoke and salinity from these coastal casks when venturing to pair seafood and barbecued meats. Cask 93.158 Mechanic strolling by the sea comes from our “Oily & Coastal” profile and being slightly peated, it is a wonderful match for chilled lobster cocktail with drawn butter and chili-glazed shrimp skewers as an example. Its honeyed core with accents of sea spray and ash provides an elegant accompaniment to more nuanced seafood flavours. Pour the “Peated” expression next with Cask 66.192 The dalai farmer. If you happen to be at a seaside restaurant, order fish ‘n’ chips for a seamless marriage. Back at our barbecue, you’re either laying down fresh salmon fillets on cedar planks or grilling up some bratwurst to serve with sauerkraut.
