An enticing fresh bakery aroma filled the room, white chocolate chip cookies, tropical pineapple turnover, puff pastry apple tart, rhubarb upside cake and custard slices appeared. On the palate neat, spiced banana bread, chocolate, cherry and chilli brownies and salted caramel apple pie. After the addition of water, a fresh eucalyptus note appeared at first that was followed by the floral scent of jasmine and roses. The taste reminded us of the flavour of a gorse wine blended with honey and matured in a cask, sweet to start with, hints of coconut, ripe quince and in the finish layers of subtle complexity like in a vintage white Port.
