In celebration of the Highland Whisky Festival 2022
The aroma was that of a classic breakfast muesli, whole grain oats and crispy almonds, dried pineapple and grapes but then with a delightful addition of milk and dark chocolate. Delicious to taste neat, with the fatty texture of roasted cherries and vanilla mousse mille-feuille and a teasing spicy ginger coconut finish. With water, we noticed on the nose brandy butter, spun sugar and millionaires’ shortbread as well as hazelnut yoghurt and bergamot oil. On the palate still that wonderful texture now of sweet, buttered popcorn, lemon juice on poached pears and a pavlova carambola.
